Prices
The price of the accommodation includes the following:
Granary Cottage: Electricity, linen, towels, hot water, central heating.
The Straw Cottage: Linen, towels, hot water, logs for wood burner.
Children:
Granary Cottage. We regret but we do not take children under 15 years at Granary Cottage.
The Straw Cottage. We welcome children at The Straw Cottage but parents must take responsibility for the safety of their children. You should be aware there is a stream close by the cottage. You allow your children to play in the fields and woods and on the swings at your own risk.
Dogs
Granary Cottage: We welcome a maximum of two dogs at Granary Cottage but please do not allow them in the bedrooms or on the furniture. Dogs must not be left unattended in the cottage. There is a kennel available if you want somewhere to put a wet dog or leave him/her while you are out. This is sheep country so dogs must be kept on leads in fields where there are sheep.
The Straw Cottage. We will take one take by prior arrangement under the same terms as Granary Cottage
Cancellation and Insurance:
Once you have booked your holiday or course, our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable but we will do our best to offer an alternative date if you wish. Cancellation charges are:
Cancellation between 30 and 15 days: 50% of holiday
Cancellation between 14 and 1 day: 100% of holiday
We strongly recommend that you take out cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.
Non-availability of Accommodation:
We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Arrival:
Granary Cottage: Your accommodation will be available to you from 16.00hrs on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged.
The Straw Cottage: Your accommodation will be available to you from 16.00hrs on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged.
Please try not to arrive earlier –we will still be busy preparing your accommodation, and won’t be available to welcome you.
Departure:
Granary Cottage: Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 11.00hrs on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.
The Straw Cottage: Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 10.00hrs on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.
Please try to leave the accommodation as clean as possible.
Damages and Breakages:
Please take care with our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.
Liability:
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Data:
Any data collected during the course of this booking may be kept on computer. No client data is shared with any third party.
Payment terms
For all bookings we require a deposit of 30% to confirm the booking. You must make sure that this reaches us within 7 days of making the booking. We will send you an email or letter confirming the booking and letting you know what the outstanding balance is. The balance must then be paid at least 30 days before the start of the holiday. For holidays which are to take place within 30 days of making the booking, the full balance is due on booking.
